One of the main characters dies, you are either a) angry, b) sad, or c) annoyed. I was mostly annoyed, I think. After all I wasn't able to pay much attention to the book afterwards anymore, so I'd call my prevalent emotion annoyance. The book I just finished is called "One Day" and written by David Nicholls.
